Baby Lucas got a Little Tykes pony toy today from his grandparents. Yes, he spent most of the first day ‘feeding’ his new pony and pushing it around. But later he figured out to ride it. I’ll post a video of that soon.

Today I have an exciting announcement that has nothing to do with buying Real Estate in Palos Verdes:

Recently Marisela and I were married on the cliffs of Point Vicente Park in Rancho Palos Verdes. The photos have finally arrived and I am super excited to be able to share them with everyone.

Didn’t receive your invitation? Don’t worry, it’s not personal. We didn’t invite anyone! (Somehow, our parents, a best man, a bridesmaid and a few others found out about it)! Only by running away to Vegas can you host a smaller wedding than ours.

Have you ever had a goal that you just couldn’t reach…and each year it seemed to become further rather than closer? That’s how Marisela and I felt about planning our wedding!

So, a few months ago we tossed aside the expectations and traditions that were holding us back. We didn’t book a church or a reception hall. We didn’t mail out invites. We didn’t make any announcements. Instead, I bought a sharp suit and Mari picked out a gorgous dress. Lukey, our 21-month old son, was actually the most prepared as he already had a tuxedo from his role as ring bearer in my brother’s wedding earlier this year!

Mike Rockwood grew up in the Twin Cities region of Minnesota and went to college outside of New York City on a hockey scholarship to Hamilton College. He has over 25 years experience running large and mid-size companies succeeding through strategic partnerships, extremely selective hiring and powerful marketing. One of the largest attributes to his incredible success is the family that surrounds him, including his high-school sweetheart and wife of more 30 years, Yvonne Rockwood. Ryan Rockwood grew up in Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Illinois and finally Southern California – where his parents decided to settle after more than a decade devoted to exploring America. The oldest of 4 children, Ryan says “moving so much was scary but having a strong family meant we were never alone.” Ryan attended Westmont College in Santa Barbara, graduating with a degree in English Literature. He went on to pursue journalism and eventually television news in Washington, D.C. Ryan’s family includes his fiancé Marisela Chavez and their 19-month son, Lucas Rockwood.
